Provide pharmacy benefit management expertise in direct support of UHC's executive level sales and retention efforts. Working closely with National Accounts Strategic Client Executives (SCE), to develop customer targeting, pharmacy benefit sales strategies and plans, and organize pharmacy resources to successfully sell UnitedHealth Pharmaceutical Solutions (UHPS) program to large employers.
Understand the competitive landscape and effectively position UHPS program against competition
Effectively communicate UHPS value proposition directly to benefit executives of large employer customers and their benefit consultants.
Actively participate in all aspects of sales process, including strategy development, RFP development, Best and Final meetings, and implementation.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred; MBA desirable
  • 8-10 years experience in health care industry - PBM, health plan, pharma company or consulting experience
  • Experience in large, complex sales situations, experience with large employers desirable
  • Demonstrated success required, professional, ability to interface with executive levels.
  • Must have proven skills in immediate establishment of rapport and credibility in business situations.
  • Supervision: Evidence of ability to build and maintain rapport with superiors, peers, subordinates, and general staff.
  • Demonstrated success in taking independent action, determining options, and deducing future needs when required.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency with PC for word processing, spreadsheet, and database functions. Expert level skill sets in business writing, communication, interpersonal and negotiations.
  • Proven strategic sales, relationship management and servicing skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain security and confidentiality of proprietary information.
