Alliance Technical Group is hiring for our commercial environmental laboratory in the Akron, OH area.

Alliance currently seeks to fill a Sample Receiving, Bottle Prep and Shipping Technician.

Pay Range:

Starting at $18+/hour, depending on experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Receive incoming samples from couriers and sign courier's log to acknowledge receipt.
  • Inspect received samples and cooler to ensure compliance with sample integrity criteria, including proper temperature, condition, container, preservation, pH, and chlorine levels.
  • Verify received samples against Chain of Custody records to ensure accuracy.
  • Communicate any sample issues to clients and/or Project Managers, such as temperature discrepancies, broken containers, or missing samples.
  • Place samples in designated locations for Analysts and Technicians to access.
  • Notify Analysts and Technicians of rush or short-hold time samples.
  • Monitor and document refrigerator/walk-in-cooler temperatures on a daily basis.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records, including logbooks.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Prepare and ship client supply orders of bottles, containers, and equipment

Qualifications:

  • High attention to detail and ability to follow procedures meticulously.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, couriers, and internal team members.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and keep work area tidy.
  • Previous experience in sample receiving, bottle preparation, or shipping preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Valid regular Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and substance screening upon request
