A substantial part of the 200-acre Viking Lakes mixed-use development, this destination is home to the Minnesota Vikings headquarters, Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center and TCO Stadium. The location is easily accessible from downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul, the Mall of America and airport, with additional uses for the planned development to include corporate offices, retail, restaurants and entertainment.

The 320-room luxury hotel features more than 35,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and pre-function space, including a 7,500-square-foot ballroom, a 4,410-square-foot event center and six two-story hospitality lounges for groups and meeting planners to utilize. From small board meetings, conferences and large galas or special events to Sunday football tailgates and more, the Omni Viking Lakes Hotel accommodates groups of all sizes with its robust meetings offerings, multiple food and beverage venues, a signature spa and state-of-the-art fitness facilities.

Job Description

Provides professional facial and cosmetic treatments offered on the current Salon treatment menu to clients for hygienic or therapeutic purposes.

Advanced Practice License Required.

Responsibilities
    To work as part of the spa therapy team to consistently provide the highest possible standard of treatment, creating an elevated sensory journey for guests helping them to rest, relax and regain a sense of balance and harmony in their lives.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of all treatments and services offered on the current spa treatment menu, as well as trends and developments within the professional spa community related to products, treatment, and techniques.
  • Provide facial and body treatments in accordance with established standards and protocols within the assigned structure.
  • Support new Omni Safe and Clean protocols throughout the spa to support Omni's related sanitation protocols.
  • Maintain sanitation of work area and equipment as required by state board guidelines.
  • Ensure all equipment and lines etc. are fully stocked on a day-to-day basis in your treatment room.
  • Ensure all inventory levels are accurate so that you are prepared for your day.
  • Ensure all guests depart with a completed Professional Recommendation Form after each and every service.
  • Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions, and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.
  • Ensure all professional stock is being used in compliance with the PAR levels to assist with reduction in product waste.
  • Relay with confidence product and service benefits to guests.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
  • Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings.
  • Perform all services for which training has been received in the allotted period and without personal interpretation of the treatment application.
  • Report any maintenance problems throughout the spa to the proper authority.
  • Stay current and educated with new treatments and products in the Spa industry.
  • Must maintain client and spa business confidentiality/privacy at all times.
  • Must agree and adhere to compensation acknowledgment and tip reporting guidelines.
  • Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.
  • Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency.
  • To begin and end treatments at the published time and ensure correct procedures of all treatments are being followed at all times.
  • Know and share information about the hotel and activities as appropriate
  • Awareness to all safety precautions and procedures to ensure a safe atmosphere for guests and employee partners.
  • Participate in periodic product inventory as scheduled.
  • Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
Qualifications
    • Minimum 1 year experience in esthetic services preferably in an upscale salon or spa.
    • Must possess current State Cosmetology License.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
    • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Follow all aspects of job safety
    • Stand and/or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
    • Requires repetitive motion, with consistent use of hands and arms.
    • Able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds with frequent bending, reaching overhead, and twisting.

    Working Environment:

    • Interior of Spa
    • Occasional exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
    • Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.

    • Massage tables, products such as oils and cremes, towels
