Requirements:

    Degree: Certificate from an academic program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • Certification: Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in the specialty identified in the task order.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience as a radiologic technologist or in the specialty area identified in the task order.

Job Responsibilties:

  • Diagnostic Procedures: Perform routine diagnostic radiological procedures/services as appropriate to the task order.
  • Patient Care: Correctly position patients for examinations, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety during radiographic procedures.
  • Equipment Operation: Make technical adjustments necessary for obtaining desired imaging results and operate digital imaging equipment.
  • Image Processing: Process digital images and submit them for interpretation by radiologists according to medical facility protocols.
  • Quality Control: Perform system calibrations and quality control tasks according to manufacturer and medical facility policy.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to radiation safety policies and procedures in accordance with the Radiology Department guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Record Maintenance: Document all procedures and maintain records in accordance with medical facility policy.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Recognize emergency patient conditions, initiate emergency measures as necessary, and inform appropriate personnel.
