The practice specializes in specialty contact lenses and vision therapy, catering to a diverse range of patients within a 1-2 hour radius. The practice also hosts pre-optometry students from UC Merced who shadow and intern throughout the year. The practice's primary focus is expanding its dry eye clinic and aims to acquire an IPL machine by year-end. The ultimate goal is to hire 1-2 associate doctors to serve the growing Merced community.

What you'll do:
As the newest Associate Optometrist on the team, you'll provide optometric services to patients of all ages and visual and medical diagnoses. The practice experiences a daily patient flow of 16 to 18 patients. With access to five fully equipped exam lanes and high-tech equipment such as the Crystal EHR, Visionix Autorefractor, Topo, Pachys, Visionix Autolensometer, Visionix Autophoropter, Visionix Solix OCT (the first office to have it in the US), Zeiss FDT, Optos Silverstone w/SS OCT, iCare tonometer, Zeiss Visual Field, TearCare, Firefly Slit Lamp with Camera and Meibography, and PlusOptix Vision Screener, you'll confidently conduct comprehensive eye tests, ensuring precise diagnoses and tailored solutions. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Licensed Optometrist in California
  • Open to new grads
  • TPA and glaucoma certification

Preferred Specialties:

  • Interest in vision therapy, specialty contact lenses, myopia control or dry eye
