Position description

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for Adjunct Professor Position in the Non- Senate Adjunct Professor Series.

The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the teaching and research programs of the department. Accomplishments and reputation must be consistent with an academic appointment in the University of California system at the professor level. The candidate should possess an outstanding record of scientific achievements, recognized nationally and internationally, and have strong ties to academia and professional practice community in Environmental Engineering nationally and internationally.

Applicants must hold an advanced degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related area, have experience teaching in the area of environmental engineering, and preference will be given to candidates with international experience. Scholar should be of the highest distinction in the following areas of interest to the department:

* Sustainability and climate change.
* Wastewater treatment process modeling.
* Climate change mitigation, adaptation, and financing.

This is a non-tenure track faculty position in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The initial appointment will be for a 12-month period, renewable subject to performance and availability of adequate funding. Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
