RSM is seeking a Motion Graphics Designer to join us as a key member of the Digital Experience Creator team. The Motion Graphics Designer will primarily be responsible for bringing stories to life with their expertise in animation principles and motion design tools. They will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of video producers, designers, creatives, and go-to-market coordinators to create engaging visual effects and animations for our demand generation/ lead generation B2B marketing efforts.

We are a newly formed team within the firm, and the ideal candidate will help us expand our animation and design capabilities to support our ever-growing go-to-market efforts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Prepare conceptual and publish-ready motion content for web, social media, and email.
  • Utilize knowledge of animation, editing, and post-production tools to produce quality work that meets technical specifications.
  • Create storyboards, visual concepts, and design layouts based on project requirements and creative briefs.
  • Create Motion Graphics templates for creative team and other evergreen motion assets.
  • Design and animate elements such as typography, logos, icons, and illustrations to enhance visual storytelling.
  • Draft and create storyboards and outline scripts.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize and develop motion graphic designs and animations that effectively communicate the desired message and meet project objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Go-To-Market team and Digital Experience Creators to develop the proper visual style and aesthetic for each project.
  • Interpret needs from multiple stakeholders across the firm and create innovative animations to convey desired ideas effectively, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality motion graphic content that exceeds expectations.
  • Design and present creative concepts to various stakeholders.
  • Provide input to continually improve the creative process and product.
  • Maintain organization and file management of project assets to facilitate efficient workflow and collaboration within the team.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, tools, and techniques related to motion design. Interest in 3D animation and HTML5 is a plus. Continuously explore new technologies and design styles to bring fresh and innovative ideas to the team.
  • Utilize AI-driven tools and software to create innovative motion graphics and visual effects.
  • Assist Digital Experience Creator team with video production and static graphic design as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • BA or BFA in Motion Graphics, animation, design and/or a combination of portfolio training and work experience

TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS

  • Proficiency in industry-standard motion graphics software such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator Photoshop. Etc.
  • Proficient understanding of video production processes
  • Effective organization and time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Operates with a sense of urgency
  • Strong motion reel / portfolio showcasing a range of animation projects, creative skills, and versatility
  • Experience with HTML5 animation and interactive multimedia and 3D animation tools, Maya, VFX compositing work (Cinema 4D, etc). (Adobe Animate, etc) - Preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • 2-3 years of professional experience as a motion graphics designer/ animator

  • Demonstrated ability to respond positively to changing circumstances, seek to implement change to drive improvement around the creative process, and serve as a model of change

  • Strong communication skills and a pro-active approach to work
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a hybrid work environment

Compensation Range: $78,600 - $148,500
