DescriptionUnder the supervision of the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the Clinical Dietitian has responsibilities for the medical nutrition therapy of inpatients in a specialized area like cardiology, med/surgery, GI, renal, organ transplant, liver disease, neurology, head/neck, oncology, critical care, ED, Peds, NICU and overflow.
Responsibilities include:
* Assessment, documentation, implementation, monitoring and reassessment of the care plan
* Patient education; referral for further care at discharge from UCLA health network.
* NFPE and malnutrition.
* Communicates with and works as a team member, interacting with dietetic technicians, food service personnel, nurses, physicians, patients, and other healthcare team members.
* Participates in departmental activities, including performance improvement. Attends meetings and rounds.
* This role does not cover the same units daily, instead, it covers the units that need coverage.
Salary range: $37.83- 49.89 Hourly
Qualifications* Registered Dietitian with 4 years of experience or Registered Dietician with 2 years of experience plus a Master's degree.
* Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RD/RDN) registered with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Preferred:
* Large academic hospital experience preferred
