Job Description

Job Summary:

The Sr Internal Auditor (I.T.) will have an opportunity to work in a dynamic business environment across various functions and levels in support of the company's Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance process as well as special projects. They will also assist with various operational, financial, and compliance projects as needed.

Successful individuals will be responsible self-starters who are able to work both independently and in a team setting, have good prioritization and organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and have excellent MS Excel and writing skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with development of an annual risk-based IT audit plan and execute assigned components thereof.
  • Assess design and perform testing of general and application controls relevant for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
  • Prepare appropriate documentation (e.g. narratives, flowchart, control matrices, segregation of duties analyses, audit reports, etc.) in support of all work performed.
  • Partner with process owners to recommend changes to controls, processes, and procedures to ensure data integrity and security as well as improve operational efficiency.
  • Document and report control deficiencies; work with business leaders to develop remediation actions plans; follow-up to ensure implementation.
  • Collaborate with external auditors on IT related matters to evaluate risk areas, address comments, and liaison business requests.
  • Perform pre-implementation reviews of new IT applications (i.e. Oracle) to determine whether adequate controls and audit requirements are incorporated and recommend any required changes.
  • Maintain a productive relationship with IT management to keep current on developments in the IT environment.
  • Comply with auditing standards, follow good business practices, and complete projects within established deadlines.
  • Incorporate the use of computer-assisted audit tools and techniques when deemed cost-effective.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of I.T. audit-related experience with an emphasis on Sarbanes Oxley testing.
  • Strong knowledge of COSO and COBIT frameworks.
  • Responsible self-starter who is able to work both independently and in a team setting, have good prioritization and organizational skills, be detail oriented, and have excellent Excel and writing skills.
  • Independent thinker able to drive execution independently with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Manage and coordinate multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel skills; Proficient in Word and Visio flowcharts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CISA or equivalent preferred (CIA a plus)
  • Big 4 or mid-tier public accounting firm experience a plus
  • I.T. Audit experience related to Oracle a plus
  • Ability to travel internationally (5-10%) if required.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field

Compensation: The anticipated range for this position is $90,000 to $105,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Some local, domestic, and international travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver's license is required.
