Job Description Summary

The Los Angeles Times is looking for a detail oriented, passionate Project Manager Coordinator, Creative Services, who is instrumental in helping us bring creative work to life.

This role will support the Creative Services team and ensure that marketing, brand, and product assets and campaigns are delivered at the highest possible level within clearly constructed and communicated time frames. This individual will be comfortable in a dynamic environment frequently in flux between internal and external executions across the entire portfolio of the Los Angeles Times, events, POS, internal marketing, subscriber retention/acquisition, co-op branding, and many more formats. This individual is process driven and exacting and knows how to get the best from Creative Teams. This individual is a self-starter who works well with others and is able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages small-to-large-scale projects with various disciplines and stakeholders.

  • Ensuring that all creative work is executed on time and without error.

  • Manages project communications internally and between all departments.

  • Communicates directly with individual team members to reiterate scheduled deliverables, relay revision requests, record the job's progress, and address obstacles as they arise.

  • Create, update and maintain daily internal and external client project schedules.

  • Ensures projects stay on schedule, communicating deadlines to team members and stakeholders. Understands processes and ensures the resources to meet deadlines.

  • Communicate with stakeholders to take clear concise notes and relay them back to the internal creative team.

  • Tracks issues and works with the Sr. Project Manager to manage the impact of the project.

Job Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience working in project/campaign management or creative services role in media, digital, or post-production related fields.

  • Self-starter who excels in multitasking, prioritization, and working effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.

  • Critical thinker who can make smart decisions.

  • Must be a team player with a results-oriented focus.

  • Must have a basic understanding of the graphic design process and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Print, Digital, and out-of-home experience.

  • Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to prioritize and jump from task to task while coordinating with those around you.

  • Must have strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to contribute on multiple projects at once.

  • Must be detail-oriented, resourceful and can follow directions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

  • Project Management Certification.

The pay scale the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting is $24.80 - $28.36 and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, experience, training, licenses, certifications, and other business or organizational needs. Compensation will be determined based on the above factors along with the requirements of the position. At the L.A.
