The Role

Mission:

Are you majoring in Business Administration or a similiar major? Are you a rising junior or senior in an undergraduate or graduate level program? Are you looking for some real-world job experience? If yes, this internship is for you!

Power Technique North America LLC (a company within the Atlas Copco Group) will be offering a PAID internship to an undergraduate or graduate student.This internship will be from June 2024 - beginning of August 2024.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsible to develop, implement, manage and document technical warranty processes, routines, and activities to assist the Aftermarket business, through our direct and distributor channels. This includes reporting and driving efficiencies at all opportunities.

Principle responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Understand and fulfill the requirements of Product Company and Customer Centers Warranty.

  • Policy's including however not limited to Technical Warranty, Product Liability and Occupational Health, Safety and Environment.

  • Provide reports as established/routine, and on random occasions when requested.

  • Provide Warranty support, collate documentation to validate claims, discuss claims with Technical Service Managers, and coordinate completion.

  • Identify quality issues and initiate activities to improve our products and reduce Warranty related expenses and exposure.

  • Implement procedures to ensure that all technical warranty and training activities are performed in an organized and structured manner through direct and distributor channels.

  • Manage all service resources as required to achieve targeted goals and objectives.

  • Ensure competence development with Technical and Administrative Warranty training.

  • Organize, document and maintain procedures for all Technical Warranty functions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Communication Responsibilities:

  • Communicate relevant warranty activities and work together to grow our business.
  • Prepare necessary information at the request of the Business Line Manager and other Management team members.
  • Prepare information as requested whether routine or for special occasions.
  • Prepare and communicate warranty reports to all established groups, finance, etc.
  • Always be courteous and professional in all communications.

Training & Skill Development:

  • Participate in company planned training whenever possible.
  • Seek out training for areas of perceived weakness.
  • Maintain an open mind when working with co-workers or supervisors to learn new approaches.
  • Work to understand and utilize information and communication systems and tools, i.e. e-mail, SAP, Microsoft Office software, etc.

General Work Attitude:

  • Work cooperatively with Customer Service, Technical Service and Field Service groups in a spirit of teamwork to address problem areas and stimulate aftermarket sales.
  • Safeguard the assets of the company in general and reveal no information to competitors or outside parties, which could be harmful to our business.
  • Manage in the best interest of the company, those assets entrusted to you, these may include but are not limited to: vehicles, computers, phones and products.
  • Use the budgeted resources available to you in the most cost-effective way for promoting the company's business.
  • Foster practices within the company that are consistent with its values and beliefs. Share knowledge with colleagues and actively work to raise the competence level of the group. Strive for unity and trust within the group and expect to produce results before receiving rewards.
  • Act on behalf of peer group members in their absence as and when called upon to do so either by design or circumstance.
  • Always promote a positive working environment both with co-workers and customers.

What we expect of you?

Experience:

  • Experience gained through a previous relevant internship is preferred, but not required.
  • Prior working experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work well in teams.

Education:

  • Applicants must be majoring in Business Administration or a similar major.
  • Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Applicants must be a rising junior or senior undergraduate level student, or master's level student enrolledon a full-time basis in an accredited college or university.

Skills:

  • Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college, university or technical/vocational institution.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without company assistance.
  • Majoring in an area of study related to the position.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Possess strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Have a strong understanding of Microsoft 365 Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities.
