Job Description
Vaco Los Angeles is working with a client in Los Angeles, Ca who is looking to add a payroll analyst to their team. The payroll analyst will be responsible for processing high volume international and/or multi-state biweekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payrolls. This includes validating new hire information, entering and maintaining timesheet data, generating customized payroll reports, processing special payments, and bonuses.

Duties and Responsibility:
  • Assist with processing the biweekly payroll of 1,000 + employees/ multiple states using the HR/payroll system
  • Perform payroll functions including data entry, timesheet review, reconciliation and payroll related record keeping
  • Process payroll which includes new hires, terminations, benefit deductions, cash advances, separation pay, garnishments, direct deposit, retro, manual checks, vacation, sick leave, and bonuses
  • Reconcile and audit all timesheets for errors after managers approval and follow up if needed
  • Verify all pay statements during preview for accuracy and process adjustments if necessary
  • Distribute and save biweekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports
  • Build and run custom reports from the payroll system when necessary
  • Assist with monthly worker's comp uploads and audits
  • Assist with W-2- year end distribution
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Must Have:
  • 4+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience; Paycorknowledge preferable
  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practice
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Good decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Capable of performing and delivering high quality results under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team environment
