UC Merced Extension Teacher Preparation Program is currently seeking 3 UCTK Regional Advisors to support the Los Angeles, Merced, and Bay Area regions a part of the University of California TK Residency Program. The Residency Advisor will work with the Credential Analyst, Director of Educational Programs, Regional Teacher Preparation Teams and various school districts to coordinate TK Teacher Resident placements for Clinical Practice, complete 12 observations per term, monitor successful completion of 24 ECE units, and preliminary multiple subject credential requirements. In addition, the Residency Advisor will monitor the successful completion of Teacher Resident required assessments i.e. CSET, RICA, & CalTPA 1 & 2. This strong connection between Practicum instruction and practice in the residency classroom will help to ensure residents' development into equity-oriented TK educators who are deeply connected with their communities-and their successful completion of the UC Teacher Residency program.
Appointees to these positions may be offered an additional teaching title for an additional 25% FTE.
