Job Description

As the Director of Analyst Relations at Mimecast, you will be critical in ensuring that Mimecast's voice is heard and understood in the fast-paced and rapidly evolving cybersecurity market. Your role will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with industry analysts and influencers.

What You'll Do

As the Director of Analyst Relations, you will work closely with other teams to ensure that our messaging and positioning aligns with our overall product strategy. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that our analysts and influencers are kept up-to-date on any new developments or offerings in this area.

  • Build and lead the analyst relations vision, strategy and plan, including being accountable for the appropriate KPIs, targets and success metrics.
  • Develop a well-formed, 360-degree strategy for carrying out analyst initiatives on a global scale (as applicable) to ensure close alignment with targeted outcomes
  • Manage a comprehensive analyst program and budget. Responsible for all aspects of forecasting, budgeting, and reporting
  • Build out event marketing plans, sets, and provides ongoing reporting against report and content engagement and usage.
  • Maintain consistent communications across the organization to ensure consistent alignment and transparency of goals and strategies.
  • Ensure a clear well carried out cadence of activities that will support Mimecast's brand awareness and market visibility.
  • Drive internal processes for successful project management and program management.
  • Demonstrate big thinking, orientation to details and action, full rounded understanding of mission and impact.
  • Understand security market context to inform the right development of strategy and planning.
  • Be the subject matter expert on all industry related meeting /event trends and recommend new opportunities as well as competitor activity.

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate for this position should possess a deep understanding of the cybersecurity industry and its trends, as well as a proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with analysts and influencers. You should be able to effectively communicate Mimecast's story and value proposition to this audience, while also staying up-to-date on the latest market research and competitive insights.

  • Security industry experience required.
  • Expert knowledge of the global analyst community and hands on experience managing analyst relations in technology.
  • Event and/or project management experience.
  • Experience working collaboratively with global virtual teams to execute analyst relations programs.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to successfully direct multiple projects through completion while accelerating business results.
  • Must be motivated, self-starter who can work independently but also have proper sense about when to check in with manager.
  • Must have excellent judgment and be able to work in a changing environment.
  • Be passionate about high-impact pivotal initiatives.
