Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking a Production Scheduling Analyst to join our Scheduling & Material Planning Center of Excellence in our Canoga Park, CA facility.
In this role, you will be responsible for Production Planning/Scheduling tasks in regards to planning, preparing, ordering, scheduling, issuing and controlling production schedules and/or materials with some direction/support from Senior Analysts in the group.

20% - Works the daily dispatch list to plan and prepare issues and controls for production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. Interface with Load Group Analysts to update daily heel to toe schedules and interface with programs and Operations team with hardware status and priority.
20% - Manage constraints and non-conformances by inputting and updating the proper hardware status in Delmia and notify the proper department to work these issues.
20% - Help to identify and track program hardware to be offloaded to Purchase Labor and coordinate with IPTs and Production Control moves between building 101 and 106 shipping dock. Work with Purchase Labor Buyer and identify upcoming requirements for offload. If schedule is impacted, be prepared to understand what is needed for the team to get back on track.
20% - Identify and communicate concerns/issues with potential scheduling impacts by partnering with the IMS team. Provide recommendations to the team on how schedules can be minimally impacted. Communicate information to team members and management regarding schedule issues.
10% - Monitor activities to ensure conformance to established schedule in support of readiness. Take the necessary steps to communicate with various departments to ensure the readiness process for each part is followed.
10% - Understand and demonstrate the use of Lean/Process Improvement methodology. Participate in various process improvement activities.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and a minimum of three (3) years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

The work environment may require a combination of indoor and outdoor activity (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stair, scaffolding, ramps), balance (maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces), bending, reaching, handling/fingering (seizing, holding, grasping, turning picking, pinching), stooping, kneeling, crouching and ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds. Work may require the ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, crane, hoist, man lift, etc.) in a safe manner. While performing the duties of this job, employees may work around variable noise levels or with fume or airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, etc. requiring the use of personal protective equipment such as face protection (safety glasses, goggles, face shield), foot protection (i.e. steel toed shoes, rubber boots, etc.), gloves, hard hat, shop coat and hearing protection. Some positions may require Respirator clearance up to and including the Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Level A clearance. Work requires the ability to change into or out of personal protective equipment when entering or exiting manufacturing, laboratory, or other areas. Some employees may be required to drive between various locations within the Company facility or between locations. Work duties may also be required to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer and/or the ability to travel by air or auto. Ability to distinguish colors may also be necessary. This position may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
