We have an opportunity for an Interpreter. We are seeking qualified individuals to perform Spanish language interpretation services for the Superior Court of California and for parties to proceedings. The ideal candidate shall possess and maintain a valid certificate as a “Certified Court Interpreter” issued by the Judicial Council of California on behalf of the State of California. 
This position requires travel within an assigned geographic region, however may also require travel throughout Riverside County.

About the Riverside Superior Court

Riverside is the fourth largest county in California and the 10th largest in the United States. There are fourteen court facilities spanning 7,300 square miles that serves Riverside’s 2.4 million residents. The courts and its employees hold a unique role in the public sector. Human Resources will review applications to identify candidates who meet the minimum qualifications; therefore, it is to your benefit to include all current and previous related work experience. When listing Court experience, please include dates and classification of each position held, if more than one.

Selection Procedures:

Step I: All applications will be reviewed to identify candidates who meet the minimum qualifications; those qualified candidates may be referred to step II in the selection process.
 
Step II: Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications may be reviewed by the Subject Matter Expert(s). Successful candidates may be invited to participate in the examination process.
 
Step III: Those candidates that are successful in the previous step may be invited to take a pass/fail assessment. Those candidates passing the examination may be referred to step IV in the selection process.
 
Step IV: Those candidates that are successful in the previous step may be invited to an oral interview.
 
Additional steps for the selection process will include a drug test, background and reference checks.

SICK LEAVE
There are 40 hours of sick leave available for use after 90 days of employment. Sick leave hours expire at the end of each calendar year. Sick leave hours renew at the beginning of each calendar year.
